Jack Titan, Version 3

“Linus”
Webtoon Episode 4 of 4, 2018

Linus shows up, Jack goes on a vision quest, and I run out of gas.

Don’t get me wrong, I like this episode. Linus is a fun character to draw, and he has a ton of personality, but man oh man was I running out of steam. With that said, the quick conversation Jack has with Winslow is one of my favorite moments in this whole series of episodes. The pink and blue color scheme, the banter, and that shot of Winslow sitting in a hover chair is one I’m especially happy with.

That’s a wrap on Version 3 of Jack Titan, and I can see the progression made from Version 1, which in the end, is all I can hope for. Partaking in this Webtoon contest allowed me to test my time management abilities and leveled up my drawing skill. I finished this project energized by the experience, but needed a break from Jack.

So, a new project was born, one that had been percolating for quite some time.

However, 2019 would prove to be the start of a two-year period of major upheaval and transformation for me and my family—a period of time that changed my outlook on how I work, and what’s most important in my life.
